Pool covers for existing pools
Existing pools typically use low-profile deck-mounted SnapTop track to guide the cover.
The mechanism can either be recessed below the deck or it can be housed on top of the deck and covered with an Everlast™ bench, fiberglass ends, or using our bench brackets for your custom bench.
To cover an existing swimming pool with a pool cover system, consider these questions:
- Can the track system be installed at the widest part of the pool with the tracks running parallel to each other?
- Is there room at one end of the pool to accommodate the pool cover mechanism?
Standard
Universal or SnapTop™ Universal Track
Universal and SnapTop Universal track can cover existing pools of virtually any shape or construction. Just give us enough deck room to run the low-profile tracks parallel to one another on opposite sides of the pool and we can put a cover on almost anything. The low-profile tracks are placed on top of the deck near the edge of the pool. The cover mechanism can be housed either underground (recessed) or on top of the deck (deck-mounted).
Recessed Track
Recessed track can also cover existing pools of virtually any shape or construction. The tracks are placed into the deck at the edge of the pool and sit flush with the surface of the deck. The cover mechanism can be housed either underground (recessed) or on top of the deck (deck-mounted).
If you are remodeling your pool and deck, you may be able to take advantage of including Underside track during construction. If your pool does not have currently enough room for the track and mechanism, Cover-Pools may be able to provide a custom pin-down cover. Please call for details.
