Webbing

The webbing on an automatic pool cover acts as the interface between the ropes, tracks, and cover fabric. It reduces the friction to allow the cover to open and close freely. Cover-Pools offers two webbing options: sewn and welded.

Standard Sewn Webbing

Cover-Pools standard webbing is composed of a 9 oz resin-infused polyester fabric––the same materials used in sail cloth providing protection in a marine environment. It is double-stitched to the fabric using Dabond® bonded polyester threads to create a strong bond between the webbing, fabric, and rope. The primary stitch is hidden from the sun to add UV protection.

Ultimate™ Heat Sealed Welded Webbing

The Ultimate heat sealed webbing is composed of polyester fibers encased in a UV-resistant PVC and urethane protective coating. The coating provides additional resistance to wear, making your fabric more durable. The webbing is heat sealed around the rope and then double-stitched to the fabric. With three levels of protection, you know your webbing will last.
